  • AF07 274‘Royal Canadian Air Farce’ sketch series to end 15-year run on CBC-TV
    “CBC-TV’s long-running comedy show, “The Royal Canadian Air Farce,” is ending its 15-year run, a mutual decision by the show’s producers and the network. Producers Don Ferguson and Roger Abbott, who also star on the beloved sketch comedy series, have informed the cast and crew that there will be a truncated, 10-episode season starting in the fall, with a final “Air Farce” farewell edition airing on New Year’s Eve.” Read more.

    “The series, which concludes its 15th season this coming Friday at 8, was previously listed among shows returning for next season. While that is still true, the buzz around the halls of CBC’s downtown Toronto bunker last night–and confirmed by an insider–was that the Farce will only be with the network for ten more episodes, starting in October, with an hour-long New Year’s Eve special standing as the series finale.” Read more.
