The Ron James Show premieres Sept 24 on CBC

From a media release:

NEW SEASON, NEW FEATURES, NEW LAUGHS: THE RON JAMES SHOW SEASON 2

  • Premieres on CBC-TV, Friday, September 24, at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT)

THE RON JAMES SHOW returns for a second season in its established and enviable timeslot of 8 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 24, on CBC Television. Eleven half-hour episodes will air consecutively throughout the fall, culminating with the annual one-hour New Year’s Eve special that will close the season in classic Ron James’ style.

This second season will see Ron continue to deliver the steady dose of hilarious stand-up and cutting field sketches that have made THE RON JAMES SHOW a coast-to-coast hit on CBC. Rich in satire and physical comedy, the new season will have lots of surprises as Ron introduces hysterical new regular segments to the show.

In the brand new ‘Odes to the Road’, Ron celebrates – in his own razor sharp way – the uniquely Canadian destinations that have made an impact on him during his many years of touring the country.

Also new is the deliciously twisted and MOSTLY imagined adventures of soft-spoken furniture salesman Larry Garibaldi. Fighting off a lifetime of repressed emotions, Larry’s fantasies visit sweet revenge upon exactly the kind people and places that deserve a good old-fashioned comeuppance. Watch every week to see what would happen if Larry Garibaldi ruled the world.

And of course, there’s a whole new season of L’il Ronnie, the beloved animated look at James’early childhood in Cape Breton

THE RON JAMES SHOW shoots in front of a live studio audience at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. Executive Producers of THE RON JAMES SHOW are Ron James, Lynn Harvey and Garry Campbell. Producer is Lynn Harvey.
