Embodied by 19-2 star Jared Keeso, that guy is Wayne — the main character in the new CraveTV web series Letterkenny. The titular Ontario ghost town has been fictionalized as the home of 5,000 blessed souls, all of them either hicks, skids, hockey players or Christians. Continue reading.

Portfolio and Giggle Media developing MooFaLoo for Teletoon

Leading producer and distributor Portfolio Entertainment and U.K-based Giggle Media are pleased to announce a development deal with Corus Entertainment’s TELETOON for a new comedy animation series, Invasion of the MooFaLoo! The kids 6-11 co-production comes hot on the heels of Portfolio-produced Freaktown, an upcoming series commissioned by TELETOON.

Invasion of the MooFaLoo! (26 x 11’), created by Steve Garratt, follows three genetically-modified, rocket-powered sheep – Fluffy, Byron and Telisa – as they fight to protect the world from the MooFaLoo, a race of alien monk cows who conquer planets with their duck-shaped battleships.

Marblemedia and Atomic team with Corus for Captain Cornelius

Award-winning content creator, marblemedia, and full service animation studio, Atomic Cartoons, are in development with Corus Entertainment’s TELETOON on an animated comedy series titled Captain Cornelius’ Cartoon Lagoon.

The series follows the weird, wacky and random submarine adventures of Captain Cornelius and his crew as they scour the lagoon floor for the best, and the worst, cartoons ever made! The series offers audiences different animation styles in an assortment of original shorts, clips and sketches.

The series will be co-produced by marblemedia and Atomic Cartoons with Robert Pincombe (Jimmy Two-Shoes, Beyblade) and Shelly Hoffman (Camp Lakebottom, Kid vs. Kat) acting as showrunners. The series is based on a web series by Pat-Man Studios, which is represented by Michael Goodman. Distribution will be handled by Distribution360.
